The Young Family

ABOUT THE session
There is something especially meaningful about photographing a family through multiple seasons of life.
Years after capturing Kacy and Michael's wedding day, I had the honor of stepping into their home again to document the arrival of their baby. These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do. Being invited back to preserve the milestones that follow long after the wedding day is a privilege I'll never take for granted.
This session was part of my milestone collection, a series designed to document a family's journey from pregnancy announcement to maternity, newborn, six months, and one year. Rather than remembering to book each session individually, everything is planned in advance so families can focus on enjoying the season they're in.
As expected, every detail of Kacy's home was beautiful. With her eye for interiors and design, the nursery felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated. Heirloom clothing added another layer of meaning, creating images that feel timeless and deeply personal.
And of course, Sugar made an appearance. Their sweet dog joined us at the end of the session, quietly taking her place alongside the family she loved so much. Since her passing, those photographs have become even more treasured.
Looking back through this gallery, what stands out most isn't the nursery or the details. It's the beginning of a new chapter. One filled with tiny moments, growing traditions, and the kind of memories that become more valuable with each passing year.
